Dr. Molly Angel, DVM, DAVDC, FAVD established the Michigan Animal Dental Specialists practice in 2019. Dr. Molly grew up in Rochester, as a true hometown veterinarian, and developed the skillset and knowledge to earn the highest level in her chosen profession as a Board Certified Veterinary Dentist TM (of which there are fewer than 200 individuals worldwide with similar credentials). Utah State University and Michigan State University's College of Veterinary Medicine provided Dr. Molly with an outstanding educational foundation. She then completed the arduous task of her dental specialty residency while establishing and growing the Goodison Veterinary Center into a thriving veterinary general practice. In her spare time, Dr. Molly labors on her farm raising Hampshire Sheep and Boer goats, and is an avid cyclist and distance runner. Dr. Molly's dedication and passion for the field of veterinary dentistry have tremendously enhanced the quality of life for all of the patients.
Dr. Katherine Venet, DVM, DAVDC is a 2011 graduate of the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Immediately following graduation, Dr. Venet spent two years working at local emergency veterinary clinics before she transitioned to general practice in 2013. She completed her dental residency in 2024 to become a Board Certified Veterinary Dentist™. When not at the clinic, Dr. Venet enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters and their two dogs (Dante and Gus). She also enjoys reading, going for bike rides, and watching the Detroit Red Wings.
Justine started her career in Denver, Colorado volunteering with veterinary groups on Indian reservations bringing free services to families and their pets. She graduated and has been a licensed veterinary technician since 2012. Justine is enjoying country life living in Metamora with her family which consists of her husband, John, their sons; Luke and Camden, chickens and two four-legged kids; Chase and Gemma. She has a special interest in dentistry, anesthesia and behavior with low stress handling. Justine loves seeking out continuing education to learn the latest and greatest things going on in the field. She looks forward to making your pet’s visit as comfortable as possible.
Katherine is originally from England. She moved to Rochester in 2001 and graduated from Oakland University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. In 2018, Katherine subsequently graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program at Macomb Community College and passed her national board exam to become a licensed veterinary technician. She was on the Oakland University women's swimming and diving team for all four years of her undergraduate studies and has always had a love of animals and passion to work in the field of veterinary medicine.
Kristy's passion for animals began at a very young age. She has now worked in the animal field for several years and plans to do so for many more. She has two fur kids who keep her quite busy: Lola and Paisley. In addition to spending time with her pets, Kristy enjoys concerts, traveling, horse riding, and trying new restaurants.
Freda is from the East Coast of Scotland and has always been surrounded by animals. She previously worked in finance management and administration and spent much of her spare time as a founding member of a pet rescue group, where she grew to love her volunteer work more than her career. She came to the USA in 2001 and started a new career in the veterinary field. Freda graduated from the WCCCD Veterinary Technician Program and passed board exams in 2011. She went on to work as an oncology technician and has a very special place in her heart for senior animals. Freda lives with her husband, Kim, and their elderly Maltese named Victoria and Whysper. Her most favorite place to be is sitting on a beach by the water which reminds her of home.
Candace loves working with animals and their owners on a daily basis. Her pets include two dogs named Koda and Logan. In her free time, she enjoys spending time on the lake with her family and friends.
Elizabeth has a deep connection to her roots in Rochester, where she still calls home along with one of her two children and two tabby cats. She cherishes any chance she gets to travel Up North and spend time around the Great Lakes where she has traveled since a child. She enjoys time with family and friends, holidays, baking and traveling.
Kalin is one of the veterinary assistants at Michigan Animal Dental Specialists. She has graduated from Otterbein University in Westerville, OH with a bachelor degree in Animal Science. At Otterbein she was a part of the equestrian team and still pursues her love for horses and riding after graduating and in her free time. She has been riding and competing since she was 8 years old and will continue to do so for the rest of her life. Kalin has plans of attending veterinary school by 2025 and pursuing her career as a small animal Veterinarian. Outside of working with animals, Kalin likes to golf, snowboard, watch sports, and line dance.
Allie has always had a passion for animals. She has grown up on a farm her entire life and has been an active member of 4-H since she was 5 years old. She enjoys showing and exhibiting goats, lambs, cattle, pigs, chickens, and turkeys each year at the Oakland County Fair. Allie was also an active member of FFA and enjoys all things agriculture. She enjoys working on the farm with her three Australian Shepherds, Maizy, Remi, and Oakley. Allie is looking forward to seeing what the future holds for her in veterinary medicine.
Brianne is currently a student at Penn Foster and is taking prerequisite classes before beginning a formal veterinary technology program. She has several years of experience working as a vet tech assistant and has always had a love for animals, whether it be her family dog (Ella), her aunt’s horse, or her guinea pig (Tofu). In her free time, Brianne coaches high school and club volleyball and enjoys reading and spending time with friends and family.
Jessica is a veterinary assistant here at Michigan Animal Dental Specialists. She grew up on her family farm in Ortonville, and now lives in Goodrich raising grass fed beef cattle and show cattle with her boyfriend. She has raised beef cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, ducks, and turkeys to show and sell at the Oakland County Fair each year since she was five. In her spare time Jessica enjoys painting with watercolors, planting flower gardens, traveling, concerts, sunsets, and having a good time surrounded by her cows, sheep, and family.
